Summer is HERE! Time for a little Boot Camp?

5:30AM -wake up call - Are you kidding me?

Have you ever had an important event that you had to wake up to, so you would wake up every hour, on the hour, thinking you slept through the alarm? Yep, that was me last night!

So, after many "false alarms", I finally rolled myself out of bed and stood in the mirror, and said to myself,  "Are you kidding me?"

I managed to get dressed, teeth brushed and stumbled into class. One hour of cardio and weight training, and my body is was screaming, "what are doing to me?" This is because yes...it's true...haven't worked out since I had my baby, yes I did the math, and that is 2 years one month (bc I counted most of my pregnancy too). But I DID IT! One down, 11 more to go!

The Simple Farm - for my Arizona Desert Families

Where have I been?

Just 4 miles away from my house is The Simple Farm! :) We went there today for their first time for their VERY FIRST "Friday 4pm roadside Farmer's Market"! We were greeted with open arms. What n asset to our community, and EVERY community needs to have something like this in our neighborhoods!

Some our fabulous produce we bought today 05272011:

Amazing Heirloom tomato's-my daughter picked out the BIGGEST yellow one she could find!

Dzn beautiful eggs - my daughter picked herself

Lovely sorrel - which I can't wait to experiment with

and don't forget their homemade peach organic "confiture de peches"

and the amazing organic mint apple jelly!

They were so generous to let us hang out with their "fashion model's", aka, a group of their chickens that were so amazingly beautiful...I have never seen "beautiful chickens' before.....but I found them here! Before we left, we adorned the tall sunflowers in the wind, what a great way to start a Memorial Day weekend! :)

Memorial Day Weekend - POUR and DRINK my fabulous friends! :)

Everybody getting ready for a fun Memorial Day weekend? Need a yummy drink to make this weekend...here is one of my summer fav's!
White Sangria - Yum1 750ml dry white wine
3/4 C Peach Vodka6 Tbl lemonade concentrate
1/4 C sugar

Sliced oranges, strawberries, peaches, apples -
whatever fruit you want
Mix all above and put in fridge overnight, and ENJOY over ice!
